GDPR

Last updated

This page sums up how the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the UK GDPR, apply to your personal data at DissertationService.org. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

Controller

PVexperts operates DissertationService.org and is the controller of your personal data. For anything on this page, write to support@dissertationservice.org.

Data

We hold your account and contact details, the details and files of your orders, your messages with support, the status of your payments (never full card numbers) and technical data such as your IP address and cookies. An email address typed into the order form is stored even if no order follows. The Privacy Policy lists each category and who receives it.

We use personal data only where the GDPR allows it.

  • Contract. To run your account, deliver your orders, answer your support requests and send service emails about your orders.
  • Legitimate interests. To take payments safely, prevent fraud, keep the site secure, understand how it is used and, where the law allows it, send promotional emails.
  • Consent. For promotional emails where the law requires consent. You can withdraw it at any time, which does not affect what was done before.
  • Legal obligation. To keep payment and accounting records and to answer lawful requests from authorities.

Your Rights

You can ask us to do any of the following.

  • Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete your data.
  • Restrict how we use it.
  • Send it to you, or to another provider, in a portable format.
  • Stop using it, including for direct marketing.

Making a Request

Write to support@dissertationservice.org from the email address on your account and say which right you want to use. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We answer within one month, and a verified deletion request is completed within 14 days, except for records the law requires us to keep.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, tell us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in particular the one in the country where you live or work.

Transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Those transfers rely on safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Retention

Account and order records are kept while your account is in use and afterwards only as long as disputes, accounting and the law require, and no longer than 10 years after your last use of the account. Our own records of visits and of how the order form is used are kept for 13 months, and an email address typed into the order form without an order being placed for up to 45 days.
